Thanks all for reporting this. At the moment we are scratching our heads wondering what the cause may be, as this only appears to be occurring on a (relatively) small number of devices. We are looking for common trends to hopefully help us to reproduce the problem on our own devices.

thanks for looking into this.
as a matter of fact i completely factory-resetted my Nexus 6P yesterday. i even re-flashed the entire firmware to Android Version 6.0.1, Build MTL19V (thats an all original android i got through regular OTA upgrades, not rooted or customized). on the freshly flashed phone i installed skydemon and i could reproduce the issue perfectly. it runs fine with 3.6.2 but gets terribly slow with 3.6.3

i am now upgrading my phone through OTA upgrades to the latest version i can get and will retry

will let you know what happens as soon as i get there. but for now: Nexus 6P with Android Build MTL19V should get you there.

cheers
Pascal

I am having the same issues (unusably slow and tapered magenta line) on my Nexus 6P with version 3.6.3. i downgraded to 3.6.2 and now skydemon is usable again.

After you did the downgrade, don't forget to go into the app store, open up the page for skydemon and click on the menu icon (the 3 dots in the upper right corner) to then disable Auto-Update! At least I can now confirm that it is slow again after the app was auto-ugpraded last night from 3.6.2 to 3.6.3. .. so downgrading once again to keep it usable Wink

I also had the tapering lines on the Note and the Nexus So have taken both back as I am off on holiday tomorrow and can't risk it failing.

I've also had very slow response and tapering magenta lines on my Samsung Tab 2, but as my Nexus 7 2013 has been fine, I haven't tried downgrading to 3.6.2 yet on the Tab2. I've also seen the tapering magenta line in the Great Circle Beta on my laptop.

In application manager select Skydemon and uninstall. Download the earlier version from the bottom of the page that Mike pointed to and then just select once downloaded. Say yes to change settings temporarily to allow from unknown source when prompted.John

On my Nexus 7, I have noticed the tapering of the magenta line, but I can't say that I have noticed any of the other issues mentioned on two recent flights to France.

Mike

Thanks I have reinstalled 3.6.2 and it works fine, then I reinstalled 3.6.3 and it all went downhill again. The initial startup takes considerably longer and trying to log in is very frustrating as it takes an age for the letters to appear in the login boxes. Actually running the program is virtually impossible.
Will reload 3.6.2 again and wait.

Have tried it on a Nexus 7 and that seemed OK I think.

I see similar issues with my Samsung S3 Galaxy and SD version 3.6.3.28529, although I have yet to use it in flying mode
The previous SD version (3.6.2) seemed much more responsive when displaying/presenting the charts etc. Chart "re-drawing" in the current version is "erratic" and not very "smooth".

Also, the magenta line of my route sometimes tapers off in thickness to one side of the display. Moving the chart around does seem to get it back to normal. Don't recall seeing that in 3.6.2

Can you please clarify the instructions for downloading/installing the previous version on an Android smartphone device. Does it overwrite the current version installed via the PlayStore? I haven't loaded any programs/applications on my S3 in this manner before.
Tony
